Carak Merka, the mountainous region in the middle of the Charon's Boat, has seen innumerable battles between Elves and vampires. The vampire lords of Chrisvania send their mindless minions and other twisted creatures bound to their will out of the caverns and over the peaks into Elven lands on an almost daily basis. These creatures are a constant plague, continuously battering Elven defenses to weaken their resolve before the Black Season. The slopes of Carak Merka are strewn with corpses, a result of this never-ending war of attrition.
